Update #37
As we close out 2017, this will be the final update for the year. The team has made tremendous progress from this same point last year. Where we were still in the dismantling stage 12 months ago, we are now well underway in putting the hull back together again.
The drivers cowling is nearly ready to be used as a plug for a new mold. The non-trips and sponsons are having the batons installed. And the nosepiece is now complete and attached. Structural aluminum brackets are going in, and the rudder mounting bracket is tacked into place.
By this point next year, the hull itself should be nearly complete.................and possible even painted. All that will remain will be systems installation and getting it ready for the water again................that's the plan anyway!
Anyhow, have a great holiday and be safe out there.
See you all next year!
