Unlimited Hydroplane Restoration Project
Update #31
I apologize for the lack of updates this month, busy time for everyone during the peak summer weather. With the northwest races done and gone, we are now getting back on track with the restoration.
The team has been adding more coats of sealer to the frames, with transom and drivers cowling work resuming.
Brad Haskin is still hard at work repairing the drivers cowling, and john Watkins is tackling the transom fabrication.
The air traps are getting ready to go into the hull soon, so it will resemble a boat again here soon.
In case you missed it, we tracked down the original trailer too..............however, the current owner is not interested in parting with it at this time. Hopefully, something can be worked out down the road. If not, we have a backup plan and already have a trailer in mind in case we don't acquire the original one.
Enjoy the photos and the video tour, were moving right along.
Until next time.............
