Unlimited Hydroplane Restoration Project
Update #12 (January 10, 2017)
The waiting for glue to dry game...
Ok gang, were back in the saddle again…
This week’s update isn’t much in terms of substance, but the team took some major steps getting ready to build the basic shape of the hull. The engine stringers have been built (glued together), as well as a few other key structural components.
By the end of the month, we should have the hull width and length on the jig…………ready to start taking shape. Tim Ramsay and John Watkins have been recreating the drawings needed to start cutting out the wood, and Dock Mock and his Atlas teammates are getting ready to tackle the fiberglass stuff (cowlings, stabilizers, etc.).
Keep checking on The Squire Shop restoration Facebook site as well, there is always something new being posted.
