The topic of the "slides" was the one thing we talked the most about, as its an interesting story concerning the ones we picked up from Bob and the ones we had in our possession. You see, I have no doubt that these slides were all together as one set at some point in the past..........and Bob has no idea how they got seperated.
When I posted the "slides" I had a few months ago, naturally Mr. Steil was made aware of them and had to check them out for himself. He thought they looked" very familiar", so much so that he was convinced that they came from his personal collection somehow.
So what did Bob do?
He retrieved his slides and began looking through them. When he opened the carousel box containing the slides however, his suspicions were confirmed...........there were many "missing" slides in the racks and was curious how they disappeared.
So when we were all sitting around together at his kitchen table, Bob asked us how we got them? I told him that a couple years ago, I had purchased a few patches from a street vendor at Seafair and they asked if I would be interested in some vintage The Squire Shop slides. Naturally I was, so I purchased everything they had for sale.
That's it, simple as that.
Bob was still puzzled on how they got there in the first place, but he was happy to know that they were still around and being used. Fortunately for all of us, they found their way back into our hands.
Which leads me to the reason for making this post.........
I am in the process of having these additional slides and 35mm negatives scanned for all of you fans out there to continue to enjoy. I will post them online once this process is complete, so hang in there awhile until I get them finished.
More to come.......
